How
Can the PTC Improve Your Business?
Productivity
at your workplace isn't limited by the physical boundaries
of your office suite or office building. It begins with recruiting
quality people, and follows through with getting them to their
workplace ready to produce and commit to their work. It extends
to retaining the best employees, and ensuring that visitors
and vendors can easily access your place of business.
A smart
transportation infrastructure and organizational strategy
will:
- Reduce
absenteeism and tardiness
- Increase
employee morale and productivity
- Keep
construction and overhead costs down
- Provide
a more inviting and efficient work environment
The PTC
helps employers and property managers help their employees
or tenants find better, cheaper, and less-stressful way to
work. The following is a short description of our programs
highlighting the direct benefits that PTC member companies
can offer to their employees while increasing job satisfaction,
productivity, and attendance:
- Perimeter
Pass Program: Employees are able to purchase discounted
monthly MARTA passes at work. Token Rolls and CCT passes
are also available. Employees can save even more if their
employer opts to provide pre-tax payroll deduction and/or
additional subsidies for monthly cards.
- Vanpool
Subsidies: A vanpool is a group of 7-15 commuters who
share a ride to work in a vehicle leased from a vanpool
provider, much like a rental car. The designated driver
of the vanpool rides for free and gets the use of the vehicle
on the weekends. The PTC helps form vanpools and keep them
filled. In addition, the PTC provides each vanpool $1,000
to get started.
- Computerized
Ridematching/Carpooling: The PTC works closely with
Commute Connections, a program of the Atlanta Regional Commission,
to offer customized ridematching services to member's employees.
The PTC works to match employees from the Central Perimeter
with their neighbors from home.
- Bicycling
and Walking: In cooperation with the Atlanta Bicycle
Campaign, the PTC offers fun, defensive-bicycling classes
to teach people how to ride anywhere, even in Central Perimeter
traffic. PTC member employers may also qualify for funds
toward bicycle parking racks, sidewalks and curb cuts.
- Guaranteed
Ride Home (GRH): With GRH, employees have no fear of
being stranded at work on the days they use alternative
transportation. In most cases, employees are eligible for
a free taxi ride home in the case of an emergency or unexpected
overtime.
