Fulton
County Community Improvement District (CID) Partnering
to Improve Mobility in the Central Perimeter
New Update!!
On Friday,
October 26, 2001 commercial and retail property owners in
the newly formed Perimeter/Fulton Community Improvement District
elected its first Board of Directors. The elected directors
are listed below:
Steve
Moddelmog, Trammell Crow Company
John Sullivan, Equity Office
Jim Overton, Cousins Properties
Donald Mabry, Simpson Housing Limited Partnership
Diane Calloway, Specialized Title Services, Inc.
Additionally,
Fulton County had previously announced its two appointed members
to the Board of Directors. They are:
Terry
Kremeier, United Parcel Service
Tim Hughes, Cox Enterprises
After
the elections, which were held at the Glenlake headquarters
of United Parcel Service, the board retired to a conference
room and elected its officers. They are:
Steve
Moddelmog, Chairman
John Sullivan, Vice-Chairman
Diane Calloway, Treasurer
Additionally,
Adam Orkin of Devin Properties will take on the role
of Secretary of the CID in a non-voting role.
At the
meeting on October 26th, the Board proposed a CID milage rate
of 2 mils, which was subsequently advertised in the Fulton
Daily Report for a three week period. After this required
public input period, the Board reconvened on November 15th
and voted to accept the proposed milage rate. The Fulton County
Tax Commissioner will send out a supplemental commercial and
retail tax bill in December reflecting this amount.
The Board
also heard a presentation from Yvonne Williams of the Perimeter
CID on possible scenarios of how her management team could
provide staff administration services for the new Fulton CID.
Other initial discussions were held on possible investment
strategies for funds, and what infrastructure projects in
the area might benefit most from the CID's attentions.
