If a commuter uses an alternative form of transportation to get to work and experiences an emergency, inclement weather (for cyclists and walkers), or mandatory unscheduled overtime, 1-87-RIDEFIND will pay for their ride home. It does not matter how far he/she lives from the office. The ride home also provides one stop, if necessary, as in the case where a child is sick and needs to be picked up from school. The GRH Program allows individuals to rideshare, bicycle, walk, or take transit worry-free. And best of all, it's free!

Any employee who works in the Perimeter area, takes an alternative to work that day, has a valid reason for needing a ride home, and is a registered commuter in the 1-87-RIDEFIND ridematch database is eligible for a free taxi ride home.  An employee is limited to five free rides per year.  Once a commuter is registered in the rideshare database and has told the PTC or 1-87-RIDEFIND that he/she is taking an alternative, he/she will receive a GRH card, identifying his/her company (or PTC) contact and their GRH registration number. Commuters are not eligible to use this service unless they are registered in the database.
